ICF Update — March 15th

It’s that time again. Here’s a brief summary of what’s going on in the Cosmos.
Keplr
Keplr wallet is seeing strong user growth, now with well over 20,000 installs. The latest update now supports Cosmos chains that have upgraded to Stargate, and will be rolling out IBC transfers shortly after the governance vote activates the feature on the Hub.
Celo Bridge
Chorus One is making great progress on their Celo bridge, completing the ed21559 precompile needed on the Celo side, as well as an MVP of the Celo rust light client.
Agoric incentivized testnet
Agoric will be starting their incentivized testnet now that validator applications have closed. Stay tuned for announcements about the testnet launch date.
NFT + DID
InterNFT working group has been focused on authorization capabilities, coordinating with the Regen team on how this should interact with the new Authz module. Additionally, the Tendermint Inc. and Interchain GmbH IBC teams have been collaborating to discuss the intersection of DIDs and NFTs, as well as how each should be transferred over IBC.
Substrate IBC
The Octopus Network, previously cdot, was blocked temporarily on a stable release of IBC-rs, but with that resolved they will be continuing their integration of IBC into Substrate.
Cosmos Hub Technical Facilitation
The ICF finalized an agreement with Zaki Manian to continue onboarding our new Cosmos Hub lead Shahan Khatchadourian for the next quarter. Shahan has also been working on formalising some of the quality assurance protocols for adding new features to the Hub.
Threshold Decrypted Transactions
After putting forward their proposal for changes to the ABCI, Sikka has received an initial grant to develop threshold decrypted transactions as a middleware between Tendermint and ABCI applications to mitigate MEV externalities. You may remember this topic from Dev Ojha’s talk at Interchain Conversations, but the contracts were just put in place to make it official.
Bianjie BSN Support
The ICF signed an agreement with Bianjie to cover a portion of their BSN network operational costs. The ICF intends to work more closely with Bianjie / IRIS team on adoption and partnership initiatives in China and the wider Asian region. Watch this space for more announcements.
Juno GraphQL
Forbole received a grant from the ICF to extend FissionLabs’ Juno peer-to-peer network crawler, adding GraphQL query capabilities.
Alan.dart upgrade to Stargate
And last but not least Riccardo Montagnin signed a contract to extend his excellent work on Alan.dart, updating it to be Stargate compatible. We’re very excited about this project which allows Cosmos chains to build iOS and Android client applications.
That’s all for now. See you in 2 weeks!
