Judges

Aurel Iancu is CEO of Dokia Capital. He is an ex PoW miner, Ethereum enthusiast, currently getting involved with various PoS chains. His mission at Dokia involves managing and securing crypto assets, looking into new investment opportunities, and portfolio consolidation on-the-fly.

Brian Luk is currently a part of Tendermint’s Ecosystem Development team and actively works on building the community and developing tooling, guides, and products for the Cosmos ecosystem. He enjoys ape-ing 🦍 into and exploring new crypto ideas and projects.

Billy Rennekamp is the Grants Manager of the Interchain Foundation. He supports different entities and contributors across the ecosystem. Billy is also the founder of Clovers Network, a Blockchain game that encourages the creation of scarce art.

Chjango Unchained is formerly VP of Ecosystem Development at Tendermint and is currently Tendermint’s advisor. She formed the Ecosystem Development team within Tendermint to house the functions related to the four core pillars of EcoDev: partnerships and investments, marketing, community development (validator delegation incentives and ambassador programs), and developer relations. She was an early contributor to Cosmos, joining Tendermint when it was a single digit team. She entered the cryptosphere in 2014, with Bitcoin as her gateway drug that opened her eyes to the potential for blockchain to eat the world. Chjango studied Econometrics and statistical analysis, graduating with a Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego, during which she interned at and eventually became an Early Career Hire at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She is the host of Interchain.FM and is now Director of the dWeb Foundation, having formed that non-profit organization in order to facilitate the development toward a decentralized web. She advises various cryptocurrency projects aimed at solving some of the biggest problems pervasive in centralized technology.

Denis Fadeev is the Director of Developer Experience at Tendermint, working mainly on Starport, an awesome CLI tool that allows developers to launch a Cosmos SDK-based blockchain in minutes.

Do Kwon cofounded Terra to use blockchain technology to develop a more efficient payment system. Its eponymous price-stable cryptocurrency, or stablecoin, attracted 40 million users to work with the company at launch in January 2018. With the aim of building a blockchain-based payment system, Terra has raised $32 million from crypto-giants such as Binance, Arrington XRP and Polychain Capital, as well as assembling an alliance of commerce partners including Korean ticketing giant Ticketmonster and travel service Yanolja.

Jacob Gadikian is a seven year veteran to both cryptocurrency investing and Proof-of-Stake systems. He got his start by investing in the perhaps too Utopian maid safe project and years later remains optimistic! The ideas he was exposed to as a crypto investor in 2014 caused him to pause his teaching career to work toward completely open hardware platforms that could properly service the security needs of blockchain users. After that, Jacob did a series of podcasts with Dan Larimer and Fuzzy of the Beyond Bitcoin show. This led to being exposed to fast PoS blockchains via both bit chairs and steam, and searching for an alternative framework to graphene’s boost flavored C++. In 2017, he ran into Tendermint and Jae Kwon. When it comes to technology, Jacob’s passions are infrastructure and open source. He was a Genesis validator for the Akash Network, and helped to build out a scaled Bitcoin mining operation at https://droneenergy.com, and is a co-inventor of Drone’s patent pending “energy offloading system”, which is a system for high density, high energy computation, such as Bitcoin mining.
