Announcement: HackAtom #2 Winners
We have our winners!
The judges have come to consensus. Today concludes our 6 week long global hackathon. The results are in:
First Place Winner — ETGate
GitHub repo here: https://github.com/mossid/etgate
We were quite impressed with ETGate. The Solidity code that verifies IAVL + trees is a significant contribution. Congratulations!
Second Place Winner — Chainmint
GitHub repo here: https://github.com/chainx-org/chainmint
Based on the Tendermint consensus engine, Chainmint is inherited from Chain’s UTXO and CVM system. Down the road, this can become a Cosmos Zone to support cross-blockchain functionality with Chain.
In short, Chainmint is Tendermint + UTXO + CVM.
Congrats on second place!
Honorary Mention — C-ABCI
GitHub repo here: https://github.com/chainx-org/c-abci

Third Place Winner — Clover
GitHub repo here: https://github.com/okwme/clovers-dapp
The Clover team built a decentralized application (dApp) on top of Ethermint, a Cosmos zone. Additionally, they deployed a version that works with Metamask. One of the “weirdest yet coolest niche projects,” according to Sunny Agrawal, one of our Cosmos researchers, commended.

Lipeng Yue, who runs the ChainX community in China, is an active organizer for Cosmos meetups. In August, he ran meetups in three cities (Hangzhou, Beijing and Shenzhen) introducing Cosmos and HackAtom to the Chinese community. He also translates a lot of our English articles into Chinese! Big thanks to Lipeng, the recipient of our $2k volunteer award!
The following are additional recipients of the Volunteer Awards
Tina Chen, Sharon Zhu, Jinghan Sun, Mitch Zhang, Kaifei Hu, Zhiqiang Zhang, Wenxi Cheng, Kevin Chen, and Huasheng Zhang.
